The high oil content of deep fried traditional chips or fries can result in a lot of acid reflux symptoms for many people, but those crispy, golden fries can be so hard to resist! Luckily, on an acid reflux diet you can enjoy something just as tempting – but far less likely to cause any discomfort after eating. Read on for a great twist on this classic favourite.
Crispy Parsnip Fries
These golden, crispy parsnip fries have all the tantalising crunch and satisfying flavour of traditional fries – but being oven cooked, they have a far lower oil content, which means that they will not be likely to trigger any acid reflux symptoms.
Easy to make, they can be prepared just before a meal, or even as a snack when you’ve got a craving! Remember that these do tend to get soggy when left overnight, so enjoy them while they’re fresh.
Ingredients:
– 2 large parsnips (450g)
– ¼ tsp salt
– ¼ tsp dried rosemary flakes
